Word of Advice [Day 1, LA]

"Spent more time in the core-worlds than I'd ever admit to liking," she smirked, shaking her head. Glancing off in the direction.

"Prefer it better than most, being aboard a ship. At least in a cramped Interior of a ship you don't gotta look up and see the feet of others, hmm?"

[Alsten Linth]

"I suppose that depends on the ship you're on." Alsten replied with a shrug. "But I get your points, a station like this it kinda feels like someone is always above you." Nar Shaddaa was much the same way.

"But, don't care for the Core worlds much?" He glanced towards the older woman. "Any particular reason?"

[Adrienna D'avir]

"Core Worlds, folk there actually live above you in more than a few places. Nar Shaddaa is a mess all over, but a place like Coruscant? Helps you remember the galaxy doesn't really care about you when just a few levels above where you're living there's the glitz and glamor you'd expect of the Republics capital," she said, a rueful smirk. Shaking her head at the thought she turned about and leaned against a nearby pillar.

"Coruscant is a good place to feel like gutter trash that's best forgotten. People live and die down in the muck underneath the shiny skin of the fruit that it is. Never knowing the sun, or respect," she scoffed, looking out over the crowds that always passed by in the market.

"Sounds a lot like Nar Shaddaa." Alsten replied with a smirk. His parents lived in just that type of muck. "I suppose that's why peopel are always moving out to the back wate rworlds liek Dantooine. To get away from that sort of thing." At least until the planet because too civilized.

"If they want to keep honest, do something simple, sure- otherwise you end up like us," she smirked.

[Alsten Linth]

"I take it then you never had any intention to do anything simple? Settle down and raise a horde of little ones?" He asked raising an eyebrow. It was a simple enough question, and the answer was likely obvious.

"Not for a moment," she laughed, shaking her head. "When I was pretty much still a kid, I had it in my mind that I needed to prove something to the world, to the galaxy. Opportunity came knocking and it- well, it took all and gave nothing. Not a great story to share, hmm? Now- now I'm just in the life, this life, whatever comes of it."

"Sounds like you ended up not proving anything at all." Alsten mused with a shake of his head. There was probably some sort of lesson there, not that he figured he'd learn anythign form it. He never felt like he had anything to prove.

"I won't ask about it though, since it seems you enjoy this life well enough."

"We all gotta live," she said, glancing back the way she came. Turning half-way before looking over her shoulder to Alsten.

"But hey, come by the ship sometime? Give you a tour, let you see what it's like. Think you got my contact from the meeting. Worst case, we'll talk about that past of yours you're willing to share but not here hmm?"

"Sure, I'll stop by and have a look." It couldn't be that hard after all.

"Have a good rest of your day then?"

"You too kid," she said, giving a quick nod by ways of parting gesture and then slipped into the crowd-stream.
