Stopping by (Day 2 Early Eve, Olon's Ship)

[Alsten Linth]

Alsten used the directions he was given to make his way to Olon's ship. Syn had mentioned chatting if he had any questions and so he'd decided to stop by. Never hurt asking around after all, and it wasn't like he had a terrible amount of other things to do.

Arriving at the ship, he made his way towards the entrance, eyes open for anythign that seemed out of the ordinary, though he wasn't being all too obvious about it.

The door opened for him, and the familiar voice of VIRGO announced his arrival. "You are cleared for entry. Miss Versathi has been notified of your presence - please take a seat."

The ship was decently sized, and gave also the impression of being a home for Olon and her crew. Which wasn't all that unusual in the galaxy that ships often became home for spacers, smugglers, and thieves. Some effort had been made to cover up the wookie-smell.

Alsten wondered if Syn liked being called Miss Versathi, in his opinion it kind of made her sound old. Kinda like the unmarried matron of an orphanage.

Looking around the common area for a moment he tried to figure out which seat had the less essence of wookie on it before taking a seat and waiting for the twirled to arrive.

[Syneisha Versathi]

Alsten didn't have to wait too long, as Syn left her private room to see Alsten. She was dressed richly as she often was, with a lingering scent of some kind of flowery perfume around her.

"So good to see you, Alsten. I hope yesterday's meeting didn't unnerve you?"

[Alsten Linth]

"Not particularly." The young man said with a shrug. "Felt a bit out of place maybe, and half the crew seems to treat me like I'm 12. I suppose thats to be expected though."

He was young after all.

[Syneisha Versathi]

"You are the youngest," her words echoed some of his thoughts, and she took a seat herself.

"But I know that a jack-of-all-trade is needed, someone who can adapt and survive, like you can. You will be needed, Alsten. And well, that they treat you like you're 12... that's certainly a perk for you. Let them underestimate you."

The red twi'lek watched him with a smirk. "But we'll probably have to work on your manners a bit. You've never worn a suit before, I guess?"

[Alsten Linth]

Survival didn't exactly seem a strong suit of a handful of those present. Not that such was any of his business though. He didn't comment further though and just nodded.

"Never worn a suit, never been in a place where people are so scatter brained I'd need one." He frowned a moment. "I take it you think im gonna need one?"

[Syneisha Versathi]

"Absolutely~," she said in a sing-song tone. "For our next stop, just something nice to wear and beachwear should cover a lot of it, but for the Hapes capitol, you'll need to blend in with the other arrivals. That means more formal attire, and nicer clothing."

Her lekku twitched a little as she gave a scrutinizing glance to Alsten's baggy clothing. "Certainly something tailored. Don't worry, we can take care of that once we leave Port Nowhere. Consider it my treat, dear."

[Alsten Linth]

He fought down the urge to sigh. "We'll likely want to get that out of the way sooner rather then later then. I don't want to look out of place wearing something fancy, so I'll need some practice wearing it."

It wasn't something he was looking forward to, but he'd need to for the job. "You figure some of the places here have stuff that will work for the resort? If so I might as well pick up some stuff tomorrow."

[Syneisha Versathi]

"Should be doable. All sorts of things come through the Port."

Her gaze was steady as she looked at Alsten. "What's on your mind?"

[Alsten Linth]

Well, that gave him at leaast one errand for the next day. Now if only he knewwhat exactly she meant by nice clothes. Well, he would figure it out.

He ran a hand through his hair. "A few things." Alsten offered after a moment. "Like the kind of things I should prepare for." There was a slight pause. "I mean we don't seem to have a large amoutn of fighters, not that such is terribly surprising. You think I might have to pick up the slack there?"

[Syneisha Versathi]

Syneisha made a mental note of having some clothes sent to him just to be sure.

"I really hope it doesn't have to come to fighting - it makes things messy. But... the three main fighters we do have recruited, are all pretty good at what they do."

She at least gave him a reassuring smile. "You don't have to join them if you don't want to, Alsten. We have others amongst us too who know how to handle themselves in a fight, but hopefully once we get to Azure Atoll, we'll have a better impression on how everyone can handle a weapon."

[Alsten Linth]

"Makes sense." He replied with a nod. He wasn't exactly shy about fighting, but he doubted he could stand toe to toe with professionals.

"I suppose we'll all learn alot about each other in the comings days." Alsten continued with a nod. "Do we all know how we are getting to Hapen?"

[Syneisha Versathi]

"It will be a bit like carpooling," she said with a grin. "We got three ships between us all. Ours, Teffa's - that's one of the Chiss ladies, and the Salky Hound with Addy, Chomaron, and Vys - that's the lady with the white streak in her hair, the shark-man, and the Umbaran."

"Those who don't have a ship of their own will go on either of those three."

[Alsten Linth]

"Figured that might be the case." HE might just try to hop on board with Teffa, it didn't smell liek shark and didn't seem likely to be as crowded. "I suppose I'll have to talk it over with some of them about who to ride with."

That was another think he had to figure out. "didn't know if we were gonna try to put our cover stories together with the groups we were arrivign with."

[Syneisha Versathi]

"The resort tends to cater to the rich and eccentric who want a lot of privacy, so we're not too worried about maintaining cover there. For the capitol though, that's where we need to be prepared for that. Which is why we have time for people to train and socialize at Azure Atoll."

It would be quite a lot to ask for people to pretend to be family or similarly after only a couple of days.

[Alsten Linth]

"Makes sense." He nodded a bit to himself. "Well that at least gives me a better idea of how thigns are goign to go."

"He offered the older woman a lopsided smile. "Thanks Syn."

[Syneisha Versathi]

"Hey, no problem, kid," she smiled back and stretched her arms before settling back into her chair.

"Soooo... have you given any thoughts to what you're going to do after this job?"

[Alsten Linth]

He glanced to the side.

"Honestly, no." I mean what did you do after this kind of thing.

"Maybe buy a ship or something? I mean that's what you do after things like this right?"

[Syneisha Versathi]

"Some people do that when they do a big breakthrough, yeah. Buy a ship, fly around the galaxt with their crew. Some just retire to a modest life and leave this lifestyle behind them... well, that one is certainly not for me, and never will be," Syn chuckled. She was through-and-through someone who was married to this kind of life.

"Is that something you would do? Settle down on a nice planet, buy a house, live a normal life?"
