Seeing Things [D1, MA]

Eventually everyone left from the meeting, and this included Addy. However, Addy didn't travel far from where they met. Instead journeying over toward her own ship she found her familiar place beneath it.

"Doesn't make sense," she muttered to herself, pulling open her jacket.

Searching through her jacket pockets for the metal cigarette case, but fumbling it out of her hands once she did find it. Smashing into the metal ground it clattered and sent a few cigarettes out and about.

"Kriffin'..." she looked down at the scattered cigarettes. Inhaling deeply through her nose she let it out in a long sigh. Walking over she knelt onto the ground and started collecting up her scattered belongings.

"You just gonna start littering now Cap?" Chomps could be pretty quiet if he wanted. Could have snuck on by. That wasn't like him though.

"You need a couple of big hands?" A roll of bass followed, with a kinder feel than usual though.

Head down her shoulders seemed to lift, but they fell as she exhaled slowly. Laughing with a sardonic tone she looked up to him, putting on a wicked looking smirk.

"Might as well add it to my sheet, hmm? I've never been nobody's hero," she shook her head. With one cigarette in hand she gave it a quick once over. It was bent but serviceable still, at least in terms of form. With a finger she brushed along the floor, glancing at it quick and then holding it up for Chomaron to see.

"What do you think, are the smokes salvageable?"

There was a huff as he folded his arms across his chest. "Not if I stomp on 'em. But hey, we each got our bad habits."

He peered at the smokes. "I'd say its 50/50." There was a chuckle and he looked around to see if anyone was watching. "So... You pumped?"

"Not the right line of work for judgements like that," she said with a half-smirk, rolling the cigarette between her fingers. Pocketing that one she kept searching about for others. Finding one it was too far gone, having landed wrong and got bent weird.

Tossing the bent cigarette aside she glanced up to Chomaron, "I'm.." she smirked, "yea, I'm pumped. Haven't worked a job like this in a long while. Be nice to do something real interestin' for a change-" she holds up her hand- "not that our jobs haven't been plenty interestin' on their own.

He waved it away. "I get ya. Something like this don't come along every day. Gonna be a lot of moving parts, but that's part of the appeal, right?"

Another chuckle shook the air. "Besides, that last job was whack. At least we got paid. And nobody lost a finger."

"Well, nobody important at least," she chuckles. Reaching along to try and grab one of the cigarettes a bit too far away from her. Sliding along the ground a bit with her knee to get a hand on it. Seeing that one away as well she glanced around, there were still a few more but rather than seek them out she just leaned back and sat where she was.

"What do you make of the others along for the job?" she asked, looking up to him with a quirked brow.

"Hah. Fair enough." He watched as she grabbed a smoke and then spread his arms at the question.

"Sheesh. Where to begin? I mean, they gotta be worth it for Olon to bring 'em in." A shrug as he thought about it. "Clawdite's alright. I know one of the humans from somewhere. As for the others? Hopefully the droid won't go crazy on us like that defender model on Corellia. Remember?"

"Damn thing was acting sketchy from the start. I'll die happy if I never have to deal with another defender model in," she chuckled, shaking her head a little but the mirth didn't keep. Glancing up at the ship they were sat just near, below, she thought a moment.

"But- speakin' of that. The Clawdite-" she took a breath, relaxed a little- "just be cautious. Taking on a job he brought to us, probably.. you can come check it out later if you want. Been a real friendly sort which only makes it even more suspicious, hmm? Clawdite ain't built to be trustworthy- or so they say."

"Oh I don't trust him, but he's okay. A job huh? Sure, I'll check in, let me know when." He nodded seriously and then flashed some teeth.

"Pulling that droid's head off was kinda memorable though. Vys looked like was gonna throw up all over that little Togruta dame." A low vibration shook the air. "Wonder what stories we'll get outta this new gig?"

"Later tonight," she gave by way of quick answer, didn't need more there. Pulling out the first cigarette she grabbed, and held it in her hand.

"Never do tire of watching you rip something apart with those mallets you call hands," she smirked, shaking her head a little. "No idea what stories we'll get this time but-" she paused, drifted on a thought for a moment- "but they'll be one's to remember till the day we finally kick-it."

"Hey. I thought we was gonna live forever?" The Karkarodon version of a smirk took a lot of getting used to.

"Yeah. And enough cash to really deck the ol Hound out." He gave the ship an affectionate pat. "Be good to find us an engineer too."

"Would be good to have someone to trust with that," she said, glancing up at the ship. Thinking for a long moment as she gazed.

"You mentioned knowing one of the humans before, at the meeting. Which one you think you know?"

[Chomaron Paladash]

"One of the humans. Hair was different. Looked like the doc though. Cyber doc, yeah." He looked back down at Addy. "Remember I said I got upgrades? It was a while back. Good work."

With a grin he thumped the ship for good luck. "You know I'm pretty restrained. Some of my people go all in on limbs and shit."

She raised up the cigarette she'd been holding for a while, moving it so it rested between her first two fingers. With a small gesture she looked to Chomaron to see if he minded at all as she searched for her lighter in her pocket.

"Don't see why-" she shook her head- "if most of your folks are like you, then I wouldn't see why. Got more muscle in one arm than I think most beings do in the whole of their body."

He made the universal "go ahead, be my guest" gesture. There was a pause and a big shrug. "I ain't the right guy to tell you why my people do what they do. Not exactly typical. You know? But, yeah. They like cybernetics. It's a thing."

With a shrug she placed the cigarette between her lips, lighting it as it rested there. With her first two fingers she pulled it free with a puff of smoke trailing behind.

"Anyway- so, Isond I think her name was, hmm? Don't remember her all that well for letting her get around inside you," she said with a smirk, watching the end of her cigarette as she brought her knee up to rest her arm atop it.

"Heh. It was a long time ago. A lot happened." He shrugged. "I know she did a damn fine job." A bass chuckle.

"What about you? Who'd you know in there?"

"Syn-" she paused, taking another drag from her cigarette. Blowing the smoke out from her nose she gave a few moments of thought. With a little shrug, "No one else, can't say I know them. Few of the folk in there have familiar faces but only cause we all came here about the same time."

"Clawdite, as you know, and that Zeltron.. Ava, ran into them both since we've arrived. Beyond that can't claim to know anyone else-" she held up her hand with the cigarette rested in it a little- "and beyond that no one else you wouldn't know I know."

"Gonna take some gettin used to." He looked off thoughtfully. "I'll hit up Gruwmun for some training time. You in? Other than that, let's meet our new friends and report back. I reckon Vys'll be game."
