Well here goes. (Day 3 Late Morning

Post by Alsten Linth »

The commotion at the nautilus eatery wasn't the biggest distraction, but it'd work or at least Alsten hoped. Not that he thoguht things would go all that wrong. Things in the the hangar were always pretty hectic after all. It shoudl be easy enough to slip around the place and get what he came for.

And if things looked too salty, well he could always back out. Right?

"You know, if things look too salty you can always back out kid."
Virillo seemed unphased, or at least was effecting an air of calm given what they were about to try and do.

The Voidstar was one of the biggest freighters in the hangar, making it a fairly easy ship to spot.

On their way through the hangar, they pass by some of men of the Drayen Syndicate headed towards the elevator, talking about some big scene happening at the Eatery that they wanted to check out. So it would seem that there was something to the idea there.

However, there were still two left having to guard the ship. Who looked pretty bored and sullen that they were the ones stuck on duty.

"That could probably work." Alsten agreed with a nod. "There is a chance he us already on board. That's likely not something you can't lie your way around though."

He assumed the clawdite was good at lying at least.

“It would make it more difficult. Although it shouldn’t be too hard to ascertain that either way. Nok’s a busy guy and he’s got people to kill.”

OOC: It would be difficult to check if Nok is onboard or not without going on the ship to check, but a Knowledge: Underworld (Intellect) check against Average difficulty would see if it's something either Virillo or Alsten might know.

"Me either." The kid replied with a frown. If he was things could go south quickly.

"So do you want to rist it? Or should we try another line of advance?"

"Sure, with a lead up like that I really want to see it now." Alsten replied. Keeping a secret from the pink girl wasn't really a problem for him in the slightest.

“Well then prepare yourself kid, because now I will-“
He frowns deeply and strains
“-... now I will-“
The Clawdite’s head veins stand out
“Okay this time for sure!”
But although his face turns a delightful red to match the green, nothing seems to happen.
“Look kid, I swear this never happens.”

"It's alright, just a bit of preformance anxeity." He gave the other man a pat on the shoulder. "Maybe you just aren't feeling very pink today?"

This was how you encouraged a clawdite, right?

“Yeah, I guess. Jeez, it’s just having other people looking, you know?”
He sighs
“Maybe I’ll just go up and talk to them and distract them, like an animal

"Whatever works for you." He was the distraction after all.

"Just be careful." Wearing your own fae was a bit more dangerous after all.

“I’ll try and be delightfully discreet.”
With a wink Virillo sets his shoulders and set off for the ship, plastering a grin on his face and laughing at some kind of joke.

When he gets close to the guards (assuming they let him) he’ll call out to them

“Boy, you guys are missing some real fun back in the Port proper. That Alderaan guy is now being besieged by like... 4 people all trying to convince him they’re from the Alderaan Consulate.”

The guys stuck on guard duty perked up with attention as Virillo approached, but they didn't seem alarmed or to be suspicious of this.

"Man, we're missing out on all the fun stuff." One them grumbled, seemingly not happy about the Clawdite coming here to rub this in their face. "Kriffin' guard duty."

"Hey, I know you," the other one said as he looked at Virillo. "You're that comedian."

At least their attention was on Virillo Kamon now.

Shaking his head sympathetically and circling slightly to take their line of sight away from the tech

With the guards occupied, Alsten took the opportunity to make his approach, trying to be as discreet about it as possible as he made his way towards the ship and tried to lcate the panel he would need.

"Hey, can't remember the names of every entertainer when you're getting drunk. You're not nearly cute enough to be remembered like that, you know." That got a laugh between them at least.

The laughter soon died though with the reminder that they were stuck on duty. "Yeah, well, it's either doing the job we're asked to do, or heads will roll. Not everyone can be a so-called comedian like you."

Alsten, meanwhile was undetected as he moved around the ship, but he had a hard time finding the panel that would allow him access to the ship's system.

On the other hand... he spotted a potential entry into the ship itself. The garbage chute. It wouldn't be hard to override it manually, as such nescessary functions all had a manual override (no roll needed, basically pulling a lever). It would be a tight squeeze, but it wouldn't have been the most challenging. (Coordination [Agility] vs Average Difficulty)

If he could get aboard the ship, he could download all the info he needed straight from the cockpit's navcomputer without having to slice the system. Granted that no one noticed him.

--------

D3 LM. Difficulty dice for Stealth.: 1eC+1eD 2 failures, 1 threat
ImageImage

1 Automatic Threat from Distracting Behaviour converted into 1 Advantage for Alsten. Total result is 2 Successes, 2 Advantages.

D3 LM. Difficulty dice for Perception. Converting Advantages from Stealth to 1 Boost.: 1eB+2eD 4 failures, 2 advantage
ImageImageImage

So... total of 4 Failures, but 6 Advantages. Advantages spent to find an alternative.
