This was a game I was looking forward to a lot! For a whole host of reasons but one chief one was that it was going to be a smaller game with all of you!

Addy is another one of my more recent characters I'll love and adore forever. Backstory connections with a few that really helped shape her into something amazing. Connections that if I didn't have, she'd have been a character with a lot less oomph to her. Was a great story to unfold and build! Certainly always a welcome hope to possibly see her and the rest of the crew again someday.

I've certainly confirmed for myself that I do love being part of/creating little ship-families.

Happy to answer any questions regarding her, and as well would love to hear any feedback on her as a character or for myself as a player!

The mysterial Captain Addy! I enjoyed having Teffa rub elbows with a real ship captain, while Teffa was more of a lolcaptain. Teffa was out having a good time while Addy seemed far more responsible. There was obviously a lot of little things that she never picked up on about Addy and it seems that her dance with Nok implied that there was way more than what was hinted as well.

Oh Captain my Captain

I just loved how natural our little crew's interactions felt. Nothing like bouncing a "Remember that time on xxx when we did that thing..." and then getting some awesome response out of it. Those were some fun moments. And the "shit we almost died let's crack a beer" camaraderie. And fighting side by side making it look like we always do this. Fun times!

Addy's got a lot of complication to her! I want to potentially preserve some things for that hopeful future game, but yea! There's a lot of history to her and not everything is as meets the eye! Admittedly, the difference in their approaches to Captaining might be in who crewed their ships

I'm glad it worked as well for you too! On my end the synch with it really gave Addy a lot of drive in the game that I loved playing with. Even with it taking till games end to have the revelation scene we got a lot of good mileage out of it and it was super fun to play around/at!

As for the Hound, it was purchased! Granted- she did purchase it with creds earned from screwing over her last big-boss before she went freelance so the situation isn't quite as squeaky clean as the "it was purchased" implies

Helped that we had plenty of chance to chat about stuff! Rest of it was finding that sync with them and well- they are a scrappy duo

I definitely enjoyed playing at the making up history as we went bit. Was cool to see pieces of the various parts of her history come together and especially that with her crew. You guys really helped make Addy shine in her role this game <3

Did the Captain have any ability for space combat or was she mainly the "one who owned it and kept them all together?"

Only what her traits gave her! Which isn't nothing but isn't a whole lot either! Most of us on the Hound didn't actually have much in the way of piloting. Cho actually is the pilot cause he's the only one who grabbed a Rank and thus had the best for it xD

So Captain merely by being the one who owned it and took responsibility for the crew! Like Mal!

What made you decide on the idea for Addy? I recall you had some other potential ideas before you settled on our dear captain.

But to give some stalling before I answer that fully. I actually had a lot of different characters from shows and games I was playing along the time that lead up toward the game itself. In a way I blended a lot of the aspects of them together and out popped Addy.

Some of the key inspirations actually came from a couple of characters from She-Ra and a lot of the Coruscant Kid vibes came from my playing Cyberpunk 2077.

Now- to out myself. While I was having the inspiration well up from all this content I was inhaling and coming up with ideas because of, I also made a most critical error! My ex-scientist character I was first going to go with was built entirely under the false idea that this was a different era completely. Leading to a lot of character vibes that didn't quite mesh as well when you consider they could have just run off to the Republic instead.

So uh.. that was a whoops!

But then that whoops lead to Addy and I do adore her ever so much.

So, I might have missed this, but can I ask about Addy's specs n stuff? Not in detail, she just seemed to be inbetween social talky talky and punchy punchy

I used the Infiltrator spec under Spy to get that movie-esque infiltrator vibe. Someone who was capable of getting into a place, and then also ensuring that they can get back out. Which meant a lot of focus on quieter methods of combat just in case, thus melee. Inspired off those movie moments where someone has to dispatch a guard in a non-lethal manner.

Or.. combat that involves a bit of the parkour fighting on the go. If you've ever seen District 13, kinda akin to Leito! Admittedly not having the actual talents to reflect that bit yet, focused on the jump up (which has my love forever) and the non-lethal fighting.
