[Day 1 EN] A Gentleman Caller (Closed/Expecting)
“Yes lord baron, I can vouch for this particular captain. She and I are business partners. Now, the good captain might play at being all rough and tough, but I assure you.”
With a hand over his heart
“She’s a fine and caring woman with a deep respect for the aristocracy.”
The two approach the ship of said woman....

"Is that so? Hmmm. Good." Baron Longwhisker wore the same fancy jacket he'd worn the day before, but he'd added a monocle for this trip. And a walking-cane, which he swung about jauntily as they walked along.
He reached up, peering through the monocle as he studied the ship. "Hmmmmmmmmmmm..." He said neutrally. "What's her name? The ship, I mean." He clarified.

Virillo had absolutely no practical ship knowledge

As the two would approach nearer, Addy would walk down the gangway of the ship. Twirling about her knife with the golden-inlay in boredom. A little nod was all the acknowledgement they got until they were close enough to chat.

"Yes. Quite. Real beaut. Indeed." The Baron said uncertainly. It was fairly clear that he didn't have any ship knowledge, either.
As they approached Addy, Baron Longwhisker straightened and harrumphed gently, waiting to be introduced.

Virillo rolls his eyes behind the baron. Clawdite’s can roll their eyes very well.
“Please allow me to introduce the Baron Littlewhisker, noble patron and discerner of the great and good. Baron, this is Adrienna D’avir. Ship captain. And that’s her knife, the knife is not a captain.”

"Good to see you came," she said, eyeing Virillo for a moment before glancing down to the little-baron. With a little flourish her vibro-blade was brought around her back and slid back into it's sheath. Stepping forward off the gangway she offered her hand out, and down.
"Pleasure's mine, Baron. Talk aboard?" she asked, casting her eyes to the side and nodded back over her shoulder.

"Baron LONGwhisker, thank you very much sir!" Longwhisker corrected immediately with another harrumph.
He gave a curious sort of bow to Addy, one leg forward, displaying his furry calf. "The pleasure is mine, Miss D’avir." Hesitating only a moment, he shook her hand.
"Very good. Lead the way, if you would be so good."

Firmly shaking the small-baron's hand, she gave a small smile that certainly lacked heart. Glancing up to Virillo she gave another sharp nod of her head toward her ship and walked up the gangway. Notably, she did so at a pace comfortable for herself. Which likely meant she'd be waiting at the doorway for a bit while the smaller statured individual made his way up as well.

“Ah yes, a thousand apologies for my mistake. Your whiskers are so sizable that in my tiny mind they looped all the way back round.”
Virillo spends a few seconds memorising the bow movement in case he needs that later before following them into the ship.

The Baron considered that for a few moments, then gave a nod. "They are sizable, aren't they?" Longwhisker preened.
He actually moved surprisingly quickly, keeping more or less up with Addy, although it did make his walking-stick flail about madly, making him dangerous to walk near. Fortunately, since it was built to be useful for his height, that meant he was only dangerous at half a meter.

Addy would lead the two onto the ship. Through a few dimly lit corridors that were mostly closed off, knowing she was having guests. By this measure she made sure that they had a straight shot toward the galley where she directed them to sit at an inset table that had booth seats.
Notably as she lead them the two knives resting in their sheath would gleam in the light, silver and gold inlay making them quite the exquisite looking vibro-blades.

“Vibroknives really shake things up.”
The clawdite sprawls in the booth
“Nice looking place though, how many other crew around?”

"My crew come and go as they please," she said, glancing about the room a little. Ascertaining that fact for herself perhaps, but it wasn't a thought she lingered on long. While the two would get themselves seated she went over to the fridge and searched through what they still had in stock.

"But they're discreet, I trust?" The Baron said, pausing a moment before hopping onto the booth seat with a grimace. "That's what I'm most interested in. Discretion. And flair, I shouldn't discount flair. But discretion, that's the main thing."

"We're discrete," she gave in simple confirmation. Leaning onto the door of the fridge she held up a couple long-neck bottles and glanced between the two of them, the offer was implied.

Glancing at the baron
“He’s a fine liquor gentleman, so if you have cognac with a flair that is also discreet.....”

"I've got these bottles and whatever they pumped them with at the last station we were at. It's probably alcohol, but even if it's not it does the job," she said, but whether she was serious about that or not was up to their discretion.

Setting the bottles onto the counter she popped the tops, two in one hand and the last in her other. Walking back around she spread the drinks out between them and remained standing as she glanced between them both. Settling her gaze in on the little-baron.
"So, here's what I've got. My crew and I are on business. We're discrete and I won't even ask too many questions. Only I want to inspect anything you bring aboard, I have a crew I promise a safe place to sleep and personally I'm not keen on waking up to a ticking bomb. Whatever you're looking to have us ferry, it's going to be on my time-frame. Wherever we go, it goes, unless we've the time to spare in another direction. We can discuss the specifics on if all of that lines up after you agree to these terms."
