"Aren't there ships that load cargo on the outside? Kind of like cut rate armor? Man, parting him from some money is a favor. Then he can't use it for more life choices of this sort." They grin as the Baron snuffles in his hiberantion. "Also lucky he's that adorable sleeping. It's wrong to want sentient beings as pets, but you know?"

After a moment's thought she adds, "Chomaron thinks scared is cute though. Treat for the whole crew here as we go along, I guess."

Speaking of Chomaron... At that moment the sound of footsteps projected into the ship.

"Yo. Got your message Cap. 'Lo Doc." He walked over to see what the fuss was about and let out a low laugh.

"Cargo huh?" His big head shook from side to side.

As dutiful as ever, Vys quickly arrived, summoned by the Communicator. He beamed to Addy, hands tucked into his jacket pockets.

"Sup?"

Their arrival would be harkened by the very unfortunate fact cargo-room doors were often quite loud on opening. Of course, she didn't exactly tell them to be quiet in their arrival either.

"Normally?" she said to Isond with a bit of a smirk. Looking to the door as it opened, and waited to greet them once it opened. Giving a quick jab of her thumb to the rest of the crew toward the crate. "We have to discuss new terms with this one. Cargo was the Baron himself," she said with a smirk.

Near certainly he would wake now.

The gentle snoring continued. It seemed he was in very deep.

"Vys. Where you been hiding? Or maybe, who you been hiding with?" Chomaron greeted him with a low frequency chuckle.

He looked down at the Baron in the box then up at his crew. "So. Tried to cheap out on us huh?" A scratch of his jaw accompanied some thought.

"Hey, I don't mind takin him with. If he's willin to pay a fair price for passage."

Isond nods familiarly to to Chomaron, and offers a quick upraised hand as a bit of a wave. Introductions could wait.

"Looks like he's stockpiled booze, but no food for his trip. Or do these guys just live on ethanol?" She was pretty sure there was a race somewhere that did exactly that.

Addy looked between those gathered, including the sleeping Chadra-fan who somehow slept through quite a racket. "My thoughts exactly, brought us this far but going a little further best I had my two best negotiators available, hmm?" she suggested with a smirk.

"Vys, you do the talking to convince our new friend to give us a more fitting payment, and Chomaron you take over if he doesn't seem cooperative, sound good?"

Isond steps back, leaving the negotiating team with some room. "I think my job is watching the entertainment unfold then." If this galaxy has popcorn, Isond's thinking this would be the proper time for some.

With a yawn, the Baron sat up.



"Hmmm? What? Has it been a week already?" He looked around, obviously confused.

Addy stepped forward, leaving room for Vys and Chomaron to either side. Crossing her arms as she stood by the crate, looking across to the Baron with a faint smirk.

"Not quite," she stepped forward, laying her hands on the edge of the crate and leaning in a bit. Looking over him with a menacing grin, the scars contorting to catch the light as to be more noticeable, "Information's come to light, and before we take you anywhere we need to re-negotiate."

"Don't like bein' lied to pal." Chomps flashed his teeth. "You wanna fly, you pay passenger rates. You want it kept quiet, you tell us. We're reasonable beings."

He cracked his knuckles and loomed.

"What?" There was a brief pause. "What?"

He flailed about, liquor bottles rattling. "I'm still on the station? You weren't supposed to open the crate! Have you no honor, sir!"

"Says the guy in the crate." The was a low rumbling. "You think we don't check for nasty surprises? This ain't our first delivery, pal."

"Nasty? How rude. What a thing to say to a Longwhisker, one of the finest noble families of Chad."

His whiskers drooped. "But... perhaps I could pay a little more. Shall we call it a discretion bonus? A few hundred credits? And I can throw in a bottle of Longwhisker's finest." He held up a bottle.

"Not quite good enough yet- you see, we had to go out of our way to acquire a scanner and incur a few more costs for this needless ruse of yours. Considerin' it was only to misuse our good will, think that cost falls on you," she said, glancing over her shoulder to Vys.

"What do you think Vys, sound fair enough?"

"It absolutely sounds fair." The Umbaran grinned, nodding to Addy, his Captain. He took a few steps, walking around the chadra-fan, his hands tucked into the pockets of his trenchcoat.

"Typically the client would be billed for materials used. And this scanner was certainly a material used. I'm more than happy to deliver an itemized invoice, for goods and services rendered." He nodded, those entrancing eyes focusing on the face of the Chadra-fan.

The Baron sighed. "Very well. Prepare a list. I shall review it."

He curled up again. "Now, if you could close the lid again, I can go back to sleep. And leave it shut this time, as was agreed upon!"

With an approving nod directed to Vys, she looked back to the Baron.

"Rest well," she said with a smirk as she leaned in, and took one of those very bottles that were agreed upon. Giving it a good look in under the brightest part of the dim lights. Backing up with the prize in hand she looked back to Isond, smiling as she gave the nod.

Isond's been watching the scene play out without much expression. The crew dynamics are worth some analysis, and the Baron's a fascinatingly odd little creature.

They return Addy's nod and step forward to close up the little pod again, checking that the life support systems are still set correctly. "At least he'll be a quiet passenger then. Want a receipt for the scanner?" They offer a lopsided grin. "To go with that itemized invoice."
